China Southeastern Airlines! CSA 5*
First Officer : Right Wing Clear Captain Captain : Left Wing Clear First Officer : Oops!! ATC : Time to close down two Flight plans prematurely... Thank you China Eastern. Cameraman: lol
The rudder may or may not be able to be repaired. I think a new one is around $500,000 dollars. The main concern is the aft spar of the vertical stabilizer. I see damage going forward of the access panels possibly into the rear spar. Maybe too much strain on the stabilizer mount bolts where it mounts to the fuselage. I'm not sure a repair is authorized on the main spars of the stabilizers. Why take the chance? That could cost a couple million I would think. $50 or $60 million dollar purchase price for the A320. $150 million or so for the 777, so The vertical stabilizer could easily cost a couple million dollars. And the company wants to nickel and dime the workers by having baggage handlers do the push-backs instead of maintenance technicians. So much for the savings that year anyway. This photo is worth a thousand words.
It happens... sometimes.. when East meets South...
Gooood . | |
That's one way to merge, now called China Southeastern lol.
Definitely some people are gonna be fired. just imagine, they have to pay the bill, they will have to work unpayed for some generations... :-)
Not a word on the condition of the front undercarriage. Just look where it stands in relation to the tow truck, yaiks!!!
Dang 777s. Tiny little things; always creepin up on ya...
It's alright, they're both owned by the Government. No hard feelings =)
Great photo! how can they missed B777? and Boeing vs. Airbus ===> Boeing win!!
... and the wing walker was where???
That wing definitely got "clipped." I hate it when that happens!
I can just hear Austin Powers saying "Karate Chop"! Eew that's gonna leave a mark...
Sorry for that nerdy touch, but OWNED! How can you not see a 777? :D
Well done... it's so difficult to see a 777 behind you?
The 777 forgot to use the horns. beep beep! :)
Chinese Kung Fu !!! | |
The 777 looks untouched. the a320 is leaning to the left and the tail is about to fall off.
The force of the Triple 7 was strong, look how the main gear of the A320 tilted.
It's expensive to repire...
If you cant beat them on economics, beat them on the ground...
Always be a rivalry between Boeing and Airbus. Go Boeing
"Mayday" in ground! | |
777 - 1 : a320 - 0. Boeing wins again!
B777 is a giant. Don't mess with him, A320 :) Bad Boys Live!
It's almost like the Asiana vs Aeroflot accident in Anchorage, except this time China Southern didn't leave Airbus a winglet for souvenir.
One A320 Vertical stab + labour ($5000000.00), the look on the guys's face who's responsible, (Priceless).
Haha A320 vs B777, anyawys really nice photo
Great photo note the tyre on right side, means quite a wack.
What a shame. | |
Good news. | |
Great shot. The gear see larger forces on slow speed taxi manoeuvers. I'd be concerned with the composite tail and wing parts. big $$
I'd like to be here when the pushback guy gets the bill from china eastern and southern ... How much $ for an A320 landing gear ?
Classic Airbus vs Boeing, this time going a bit too extreme.
That has to hurt. Repairs there are going to be expensive and yes, someone is gonna get fired.
I guess the next time he is going to be more carefull!!! If there is one other time!!!
Excellent | |
Thats definately stress on the gear, check the taxi line, it isnt distorted, if it was a wide angle shot that line wouldnt look straight.
Something wrong with ATC or Push-back driver what a mass in PEK
What's with the ground crew? It's hard to miss a 777 on the taxiway.
I like how you can see the apu
Someone is getting fired...
To quote Richard Hammond on Top Gear..."Oof! That sounded expensive!" notice the tilt of the inside right main wheel.....transfere of energy from the moving 777.....
I'm pretty sure the landing gear is fine, just seems to me that it is a wide angle shot.
That guy is EXTREMELY fired.
Woops! Costly mistake. Check out the right landing gear, looks like its under some strain!
