N9323Z / 483514/F/U (cn 32155) Highlight to the night photoshoot was this B-17 Flying Fortress. An absolutely spectacular experience seeing every seam and rivet glimmer from the floodlights while fulfilling nearly every sense of the human experience. Taking part in such an event was a personal sentemental journey & I'm proud to have had the chance to capture this stunner in such ideal conditions.

As someone who just loves the B-17 in all her variants, this photo takes my breath away. No words....

A visitor from Canada posted Tue October 16, 2012:
Thanks everyone for the kind words! Love every one of them. White balance was on auto as I had no time to play with the diff settings as the engine runtime was only 7-10mins so I was too busy getting as many properly composed photos as possible. This one was about 2-3 second exposure about F7.1 or F8.

WOW, this is one hell of a night shot which would deserve more than only 5 stars! Well done is just not enough to describe this unique picture!

The wet apron helps a bit.. lighting, shutter speed ..everything fits nicely .. you can almost hear the sound of the engines

What?! Only 5-stars max. score? No way. I'll give this shot a DOUBLE 5*. Spectacular and beautiful, great job, Mr. Kim. The sound of those revving engines must have been music to your ears. Question, were B-17's able to do night sorties?

Great picture, what an awesome opportunity you had there. Love the full prop discs. Did you use auto colour correction or did you go manual colour temperature (Kelvin) settings? awesome, awesome.
