D-FBBD / 472218/WZ-I (cn 1517) This Mustang was in 2001 painted into wonderful marking of P-51D-20NA, serial 44-72218 "Big Beautiful Doll" piloted on wars end by commander of the 78th Fighter Group Lt.Col. John D. Landers, ace with 14,5 victories. He was celebrated on 16 April 1945 by 9 destroyed Luftwaffe aircrafts on the ground during mission over Prague airfields. Unfortunately Big Beautiful Doll was destroyed the next day on Sunday after mid-air collision with Skyraider F-AZDP, pilot of P-51 parachuted safety, Skyraider landed with damaged right wing.
