A visitor from India posted Thu May 7, 2009:One of the rarest snaps wherein the actual photograph is not all that good but the message it conveys, the story it tells and the emotions it invokes is what makes it one of a kind. I havent seen such a pic except in war journalism. It would be interesting to know from Michiel (Photographer) the actual sequence of events on this particular aircraft. Am sure pilot must have known about the incident and announced it to the passengers. How did s/he do that? What were the reactions aboard. All of us who were fortunately on terra firma that day will never be able to truly appreciate what people in NYC and those in the air at that very time must have felt.

A visitor from United States posted Sat August 11, 2007:I think that this is probably one of the most influential shots of the century. It sums up the events of that day perfectly as it shows the panic, sorrow, and pure chaos that followed the attacks. R.I.P. to the victims of Sepember 11, 2001.
A visitor from Turkey posted Tue July 31, 2007:Impressive

A visitor from Portugal posted Thu August 24, 2006:Magnet Effect - Thats what I call to the 11th September instant effects. All traffic must formed like a circle shaped air space around WTC towers. This photo shows that perfectly!
A visitor from France posted Wed August 23, 2006:A picture speaks a thousand words. This photo is the perfect way to sum up that days events. Thanks to the photographer for knowing when to pick up the camera.

A visitor from United States posted Sun February 19, 2006:Great photo! very rare site to see this. Luckily I wasn't flying on this day so i didn't face the nightmare that many travelers faced. Imagine how much of an ATC nightmare september 11th was too. turning every plane around...................

A visitor from United States posted Sat December 31, 2005:A brilliant & intuitive time to pick up the camera. The 'line' tells us everything about the historical event from a 'passenger seat' perspective on that day.
