N68048 / 048 (cn 47802/101) "Employee Owner Ship I". Is seen lining up runway 25R using taxiway 8 for an early morning departure to EWR, wearing a black meatball on tail. First flight was April 24, 1973. Delivery date was May 23, 1973. Other serials - N68048 with First Security Bank of Utah. Was testbed for MD-11 winglets during 1981. At any one time has been stored at IGM and GYR. To FedEx for parts, so she was not converted to freighter. Eventually broken-up at GYR.
