A cloudy day at LAX as 2 gigantic cranes attempt to lift the aircraft off the ground. 8 months later the tarmac next to the runway still had the outline of the collapsed landing gear that was made as the plane plowed to a stop.

Aircraft: N68045 (D10). Route: LAX-HNL. 186 Passengers (2 fatalities), 14 Crew Members. During take off roll, a loud "metallic bang" was heard (blowout tires). During rejected takeoff, aircraft departed the right corner of the runway and caught fire.
