N743R (cn 306-11) Aircraft carried CAL President Bob Six and his wife, actress Audrey Meadows, to the 747 factory in Everett WA to make final decisions regarding interior design of aircraft in production. Acft was destroyed and the two pilots killed in an accident on Apr. 13, 1973. No other pax aboard.

I flew this a/c on many occasions during the late 60's and early 70's as a cal pilot. this photo is an excellent one as all features, down to pilot trainer are vivid. we used this a/c to check flt. engineers, who were approaching their one year probation, who had not been in a pilots seat since being hired. Very simple flt. checks. jerry dixon, cal retired.
