F-GTUI (cn 26875/931) Very loooong takeoff roll with a fully-laden B747-400 carrying 587 Mexican football supporters plus crew. Crossing the runway threshold just a few feet above the ground, this 747-400 climbs away from Dusseldorf's runway 23L. Nonstop flight to Montreal Dorval (YUL) for a fuelstop and on to Mexico City (MEX). Dusseldorf's main runway is quite short, so heavy departures are always a thrilling sight. Fourth Corsair 747 on this day thanks to FIFA World Cup 2006.

Seeing wing flexing on a 747 always gives me shivers.. most impressive thing in the world is taxi on a fully loaded 747 and then seeing them flex all the way up, way above from position you're sitting on... marvelous.
Probably best part of a trip in Y class on original Jumbo...
