It looks fantastic. I would like to fly on it. It looks very confortable, and interior looks as L-1011, without middle console. I do not understand The reason european and rest of the world still buy american, european or Brasilian aircraft, much more expensive than this Il96.

Nice looking interiors, the widest I've ever seen.

This is absolutely by far the most exciting Aircraft to spot. It is very unique because there's nothing else that resembles this beautiful bird. I really don't understand why more airlines haven't bought this plane, I mean although it doesn't have a center console, I'm sure Ilyushin can modify this plane to any customer requests. It's very distinctive and draws way more attention then the boring Boeings and Aircrash (I mean Airbus). I would love to see this Aircraft in person as I have never encountered this beauty. This is a great, clean, and exciting picture!
Thank you!

Nice to see, russian technic is upgrading. Working montitors! It's a big thing. Nice plane, but I think they should check the carpets on the floor.:-)

Thanks everyone for your good comments!
This plane is a brand new Il-96 and the first of 2 ordered for Cubana. It was shown at International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2005 and because it is not delivered yet there was a cover on the carpet. I think those little things in the seat backs are either air-conditioners or small lamps.
As I know to buy this plane Cuba took credit from Russian government.

What an open and spacious cabin! Are those little things in the seat backs the A/C? Also, why is there a cover on the carpet?

Looks great. Pretty simple and looks clean inside. Cubana is actually better than what I though!!

The absence of overhead bins in the centre gives the cabin a more spacious, airy feel.

Great pic. but I am dissappointed in the aircraft cabin config. notice there aren't any bins in the center and the side ones look small.

i wonder where cubana got the cash for a new airplane? mr. chavez no doubt.
