CR-AIA (cn 10204) A couple of colonial visitors at Jo'burg. DETA was the forerunner of today's LAM, and this Friendship later found itself in Brazil where it was written off as PT-LCF in 1987. The Viscount behind belongs to Central African Airways, an airline jointly formed by Southern Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland. Later in 1967 this airline was wound up and its assets divided up between Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Zambia and Malawi.
