N785PA (cn 208B0994) After 3 weeks at Maho Beach I think I can say that Sint Maarten is one of the most unique airports in the world. I've standing a few times on the guardrail to catch the 28 departures but when I saw this one almost hitting the fence, from that time I've never done it anymore...WOW!

All I can see is directly under and slightly to the left of left main gear, next to the brute in whit tee shirt; I'll look at the plane in a minute.........

Classic. Spectacular, and classic!

This photo captures the fun part of flying-giving thrills to those on the ground and in the aircraft. It seems too close for the lady in the purple dress, though! She's turning her head and appears to be on the move!

If I was there, I could just jump up and grab onto the landing gear...but that would be crazy

I remember going there a couple of years back. Got told about 10 times by the security to step away from the fence. Good times =]

Awesome pic of a VERY low approach. To give some perspective, the rocks next to the wall by the young man in the light blue shirt are approximately on the extended centerline of the SXM runway. I would say this pilot is in error and has no business being that low over the beach.

Beautiful picture on the "Dream Beach"/Maho Beach/!!!

A dream beach :-)
Doesn't it look like if the couple on their knees and the guys standing and taking pictures in the middle of the pic are looking at something behind the plane? It' s like the aircraft is several meters closer to the camera than them.

"Isn't that a bit unnecessary for a small plane?" - I agree with you; 747's come in much higher than that with no issues.

The sign in the back is right on.. Bliss
