In the Seventies Gatwick was sometimes like the living Museum of the British Airliner. This Beauty came from the original BOAC Comet 4 fleet. On the rooftop above the last N in LONDON you can see the edge of the black ADF windows , fatigue cracks from which caused the Comet I fatigue disasters. New reg. to database, surprisingly

It is a well composed uncluttered, clean shot, perhaps not as well defined as more modern cameras can produce. Airline name and registration are clearly visible. The shot captures the graceful lines of a very elegant craft. Long live nostalgia.
