Oi, you're burning my garden! [willie]
... And not a single fire extinguisher at hand ! Lucky day for the bird !
What a ... hot start !! | |
HP fuel cock opened too early or too quickly puts excess fuel in the jet pipe which catches fire when the engine does light up. If engine fails to light then a 'wet start' is the result. I remember it with some nostalgia but can't remember doing it myself. Bruce Spurr (ex.5, XI, 68, 151, CFS etc.)
Cool shot!! Did you know the mark from that burning is still there today!
Very nice shot! "Surplus fuel" is an oxymoron though!
Must be cool to see a start up like that! And for an old jet, the grass seems smoking harder than the engine itself. I think there was at least one unhappy guy about it and that must have been the gardner :)
Fantastically clear and exciting. Poor gardener!!
High quality photo. Clear and concise. Explains and confirms what is happening at that moment
