A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu June 18, 2009: HP fuel cock opened too early or too quickly puts excess fuel in the jet pipe which catches fire when the engine does light up. If engine fails to light then a 'wet start' is the result. I remember it with some nostalgia but can't remember doing it myself. Bruce Spurr (ex.5, XI, 68, 151, CFS etc.)
