VH-APE (cn DHA219) This is actually the second Tiger Moth to carry the rego VH-APE. This one was also built for the RAAF as A17-218. Post-war it was civilianised in 1947 as VH-BCS but was withdrawn from use in 1963. Restored, it was returned to the Register as VH-APE on 22 August 1987. Currently based in NSW, it was one of the aircraft in a vintage fly-past at the Wide Bay International Airshow.
