VH-FBC / 121 (cn 5019) Bicentennial Around Australia Air Race. "Tania". The Drover used a modified DH104 Dove fuselage & wings. One of last flying, & last built (cn 5020 completed first). Built 1956 for Royal Flying Doctor Service, regd VH-FDA 2.7.56. To VH-UNK 7.9.67, VH-UMA 10.11.67, ZK-DDD 2.10.70. WFU 1986. Restored & flown to Australia 8.5.88. Regd VH-FBC 15.9.88. Flown in race by David Squirrell & Brett Young - finished with few problems. Sold to Powerhouse Museum, Sydney 27.11.89. Preserved.

I know this aircraft well, david squirrell and i flew it from new zealand. and then in the round austalia air race, a great aircraft and a great photo, the first tri engined piston aircraft to fly the tasman nz to aus since sir charles was this aircraft.
