When the plane landed we saw this parts moving for reverse, I said: The engine is broken. My wife was amazing but when I smiled she understood I was kidding

I have been on numerous flights on -200's from Scotland to Ireland with Ryanair since 1995 and have seen this many times from the wing view window! There was nothing quite like the thunderous pounding sounds from these old engines when the reverse thrust was deployed. They have recently aquired -800's for these routes and I must say I will miss the unique character of this plane.

I once got an account of a -200's reversers from a freind... "All of a sudden the rear of the engine cowling just dissapeared like a shot and started rumbling..." Well Justin, heres one for you!
