N193DN (cn 28450/671) That morning we were instructed to join the hold over OCK (Ockham) for ten minutes delay. Just when turning outbound this B767 came out of the dark clouds 1000 feet below us.

Now that's the sort of shot that makes young guys carry a camera around their necks at all times "just in case" they see a shot like this coming. Fantastic...

Amazing picture... so dramatic. The colours, the vortex, the white reflection on the airplane. This can be one of the best --if not the best-- shot in this website. Ten stars...

This photo contradicts the feeling of being on top of the world while you're flying, the scenery makes the plane look so small, but everything is captured in one photo. This is one hell of a photo, one of the best I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing it with us!

A visitor from United States posted Thu June 3, 2010:
A slam dunk Hall of Fame photo. Five stars is almost an insult, way way too low of a score. Looks like something from the Battle of Britain. You sir have a very very special gift, and please keep using it..

A visitor from United States posted Thu June 3, 2010:
This shot, I must say, constitutes as an "EPIC" shot!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed June 2, 2010:
Wow - one of my favourite shots ever on Airliners.net!! Love the vortices, the angle, the mood, everything!

A visitor from United States posted Fri April 9, 2010:
You can see the angle of attack by comparing deck angle with the wingtip contrails. Wow! These contrails are different than those at altitude because they are not from the engines, but from the generation of lift.
