Just had one of these beasts in our hangar for an engine change..RAW POWER! These kind of shots always make me think of ships plowing through rough waves. Amazing machine captured perfectly.

It is quite unique to get a shot this close at this phase of flight in these weather conditions. I love it!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu March 14, 2013:
That's just a fantastic shot - well done for being in the right place at the right time and getting the photo in such conditions!

A visitor from - posted Thu March 14, 2013:
This shot shows the grace and beauty of what is now a classic airliner, in a difficult weather situation. Instead of the weather detracting from the photograph, and making it difficult to see the plane, the photographer is close enough that the snow sets off the plane and generally it makes the photo better. If it were not for the ground lighting and markers, the plane could be 5 feet off the ground or FL150.

Whoa, Ron. Five stars for the picture and five for being in the right place at the right time. Spec-ta-cu-lar! - Alberto

A visitor from - posted Wed March 13, 2013:
Perfect focus in bad weather conditions. The scale of the image makes you think a wing might knock you over as it goes by. The lights and weather make the whole thing look surreal, almost scary.

A visitor from - posted Wed March 13, 2013:
Fantastic, thank you for being in the cold to bring us this hot photo!
