A visitor from United States posted Wed October 5, 2011: As a Lead Aviation Technician for Delta this aircraft has a special place in my heart. This was the first aircraft I ever taxied in for Delta. This aircraft was purchased for Delta Air Lines by the employees.
A visitor from - posted Mon May 2, 2011: Being from Delta's birthplace of Monroe, LA, I vividly remember 727s, DC9s, and 737s flying to my hometown in this great livery! Although the latest livery has grown on me, the old widget livery is by far the most elegant! As an aside, the old Republic Airlines used to fly DC9s to Monroe too. Now you only see Saab 340s and CRJ-200s, and ATR-72s....sad.
