VH-ELH (cn 680F-1103-69) A sleek low-slung Aero Commander (built 1961) taxies past during an Airshow at Moorabbin Airport in 1964. She was operated by E.L. Heymanson & Co, Import Agents for Lockheed aircraft. Earnest Heymanson sponsored the 'Heymanson Prize' at RAAF Staff College, for the Best 'Strategic Studies' Essay. I flew from Cairns to Horn Island (in 2.4 hrs) in 'Aero Tropics' Aero Commander VH-WZU on 01Jul2006. There was a 42 year gap between photographing an Aero Commander, and actually flying in one. Old low res photo.
