Just beautiful composition from an imaginative angle. THe cloud formation is what makes this such an excellent photo. Look at the curvature of the wings. We tend to forget that when flying at speed and altitude, all the weight of the centre barrel is just hanging on those wings and the air flow over/under them. Wonderful study of aerodynamics (and thrust!) at work.

The surealistic juxtaposition of the plane, the clouds and the contrail, combined with the fading light, make this photo intriguingly beautiful.

The lack of raked wingtips and the fact that it routes IST-JFK makes it a 767-300.
