Del/14/10/1958. After sitting idle for almost 30 years, has been parked at St Paul since the early 1970's. Carlos Gomez and Marc Wolff buy the aircraft and ferry to Miami - Opa Locka (OPF) to restore in its original colors and registration. The airplane has Northwest Airlines DC-10 seats and NWA DC-9 lavatory. Thunder over Michigan 2010. Special thanks to Susana Nateras, Pedro de Alba, Keith L. Mock, was on-board to take a one-hour flight, and Paola Salazar to make this trip possible.

This is an exquiste photo! And definitely worth more than 5 stars - if it were up to me I'd give a a solid 100 stars...

Nice work! The lighting and angle are great. I watching this plane take off from Ecorse Road. Nice to see a YIP/Thunder photo hit the front page of AL.net.

What a gorgeous aircraft. Kudos to the restoration crew. Obviously a labor of love. The old'retro'paintjob is a classic work of art. Modern livery pales by comparison. I'd love to hear those muscular radials roar.
