NC14958 / 11 (cn 1036) This was the prototype 10-B Electra and after testing served EAL on their NY to New Orleans and Chicago to Miami routes. Sold to Northwest Airlines in July 1937 on replacement by DC-3s. Impressed in WW2 as UC-36C 42-57222. Postwar to Brasil AF as 1325 and then to Varig as PP-VAU in June 1946. Crashed 18 October 1952. From EAL 60 years ago.
