Well, checking the database for other shots of this ac I found it to be peeling blue paint indeed. I don't think you can really tell from this shot though as there is also obviously glare right beneath it and touching, and that being all seemed more logical to me. Please write 'planes' correctly though, the least we A.net commentors can do right...
