The picture was taken from PZL M-28 Skytruck aircraft. We flew over the Polish Coast. I have used Canon EOS Mk II body and 100-400IS lens set on 285 mm for this picture. Thanks for the very positive comments. Cordially. Mariusz

Very brave and risky! The pilots are smiling, so they already knew, that you are taking a picture. I miss that feeling so much!!!

A visitor from Croatia posted Tue June 6, 2006:
Another great A2A from Mariusz! The plane is actually a Polish-built Piper Seneca (I think this one is analogue to the Seneca III)

A visitor from Singapore posted Sat June 3, 2006:
That panel on the front of the pilot's windscreen is electric heating / ice-protection for the windscreen

A visitor from - posted Sat June 3, 2006:
The widescreen infront of the pilot could be a HUD?

A visitor from Canada posted Sat June 3, 2006:
That wide screen is for deicing, it allows the pilot see out the window in case the windshield gets cover in ice.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat June 3, 2006:
Is that a HUD?

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 3, 2006:
That object which is mounted on the windscreen is a "heated ice plate". It allows the pilot to have forward visability in the event a coating if ice builds up on the windscreen when OAT's go negative. Great shot Mariusz!!

A visitor from Peru posted Sat June 3, 2006:
It's a heating device I supposse. I've flown similar aircraft when I started my career, and that's where the pilot would have to look through in case of icing limiting your visibility.

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 3, 2006:
It's the heated portion of the windscreen.

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 3, 2006:
I think that's an HUD on the windscreen. Nice shot Mariusz

A visitor from Finland posted Sat June 3, 2006:
Great pic! The piece in front of the windscreen can be heated in case of icing.
