The plan appears disproportionately large to the engines, etc. Not a technical comment as I know the engines have plenty of thrust. However, your Auntie might want to get on something that looks like it cannot fly.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sun March 7, 2010: I have flown on the A380 last year from Singapore to London and I have to say it was the most amazing experience. We had 120mph head winds (that would be blowing a 747 all over the sky) and there were no turbulence for the whole 14 hours of the flight. It felt like we were still on the tarmac when we were cruising at 39,000ft! The technology and in flight entertainment was fantastic and the cabin felt large and very spacious. In economy I could stretch my legs out fully under the seat in front of me and there was also enough room for me to turn on my side to sleep! (I am 6 feet tall). When I'm travelling long haul in the future, the ONLY plane I want to fly on is the A380.

This photo shows the landing wheels with the leading tires pointing down , as opposed to a 747's pointing up . I imagine it makes for a smoother landing .
