I hope this repair on the wing is only temporary and that it's at least going to be painted because this right now is a serious eye-saw....

Size of the A380. Man this is a big a/c. Never saw one for real yet.

I have never seen a picture of the A380 before that shows the diemensions of this aircraft so clear and impressive. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot David! Really like the de-ice action, with the truck/plane comparison. From what I know, the catering truck was raised to the upper deck when the hydraulics gave out. The truck leaned to the side where there was damage to the leading edge/wing root section. Temporary repair was done outside by the infield terminal. - W.C.

This picture captures the essence of YYZ.

Yeah, Big Boy, I know how you feel. YYZ can be a hell hole to survive and it doesn't matter what time of the year it is. Whether it's the weather delays or ramp lice damage (as in this case), baggage monkeys chucking your bags for a three pointer and missing so you end up with no bags on the other end, security screw ups or missed connections and long over night sleepless waits in the terminal... you just want to take a shower and get the hell out of YYZ to head home!!!

Thanks for the shot, very nice capture! I was surprised it took off from Toronto so early. I was hoping to see the plane at the airport while spotting sometime in January it was while being repaired. At least I caught a glimpse of the A380 sitting at the infield terminal while my plane was taking off(a UA ERJ) on 24R two days before you took this shot!
