First thing I thought was that this had to be a model, but the closer I examined the photo, the more detail I saw that wouldn't be on a model. Amazing!

These shots are not impossible to do - it just takes money to hire a pilot to fly you back thru the LAX corridor a few thousand feet above the action with a telephoto lens. The object is to time the landing at the perfect time. Pilots do not mind because they need the hours. This can be done by anyone as long as they pay for the plane. $400-500 will get you a couple of hours back and forth but the result of these air to ground shots will be great.

Perfect tribute to this In-n-Out Burger location at LAX. You MUST go there. All airplane nerds MUST go there. You can hear and feel the wake vortex from these planes. Simply the best.
