This is a luxury! Awesome and confortable seat.

Truly awful - the worst possible taste.

WOW!! Talk about top notch luxury!! Now I see how the other half travels, and I'm turning 20 shades of green with envy...

My goodness... Now that's the way to fly.

While I love the design the wood, goldish colors make this look like something I would expect to see in a james bond movie from the 80s

Reminds me of the 727 iran vip transport!

Looks very nice! I notice there is only one person here that thinks its awful. Well we don't.

Great shot, but make that two people who don't care for it - the design, anyway. Personally, I think the wood and gold trimming looks quite kitschy. No doubt it's otherwise a great product and comfortable though!

This looks like the insides of a mobile home of a circus clown.

Nice photo. U made me sit in there for a while....
I think it is kitschy...But you feel more first class than in an Lufthansa Fist Class with its cold and modern interior style.

Damn! That's what I call comfort. But as a design student I would have sacked the guys who took wood and gold. Nevertheless I would like to travel around the world in such a suite.

It does look tacky, but I think I could sit there for 8 hours and not suffer.

I love it. Great picture that captures the luxuries that can be had on EK F class. Yes, I love the wood an gold panelling, provided that it has been used with restraint. Perhaps the wood on the window surrounds is a bit over the top, though.

Looks comfortable but a bit garish - too much gold and faux-walnut trim. Like the Sultan of Brunei's A340.

Looks comfy for sure.... but there's too much gold in there. I prefer understatement.

Tacky and dated looking... can't imagine paying to sit and look at that for X number of hours!

I wonder if anyone else here can relate to the idea that this kind of travelling is too excessive. Why would you possible need this kind of luxury... It's pretty and i guess there's demand for it but it's a waste of oil in my opinion.

Great luxury, but I always think to myself, do people really pay that much and need so much luxury for a 10+ hour flight?

Personally I think it is really disgusting. I understand that all the materials are of top quality but the overall effect is awful. Especially the gold trimmings. There is too much of verything. Keep it simple Emirates!

I wonder if arabs can make interior without overusing false gold and wood?

This picture has great detail on how to fly 1st class on this airline. But regarding the seat, without a window I think it would be depressing.

One word: awful.
The seat is probably very comfortable, the telly very large and the mini-bar well stocked; but all this nasty fake wood and fake gold looks just awful.
Proof that people's taste doesn't necessarily grow with the size of their wallets.
I'd rather sit in that new Singapore Airlines business class; its simple design relaxing colors make it a much more pleasant place to be.

Three words

'FLY ETIHAD AIRWAYS!'

then you will see what proper luxury is!

It may be a little O.T.T. but it if you ever travel to the UAE you will find that it simply reflects middle eastern taste, and who can judge taste?People slagging off this kind of overindulgence just do so because they probably won't be able to ever afford it, enough said...

Too much gold but otherwise, a great way to fly. Like the HUGE PTV.

They REALLY shouldn't put Pringles in the first class suite. :-) Or at least order some special packaging. Also, I hope it doesn't look so quintessentially CHEAP in real life as it does on the photograph (with all due respect to the photographer, it's not his fault).

To my fellow Russian, who said: "I wonder if arabs can make interior without overusing false gold and wood?"

Oh yes, they can. This is what I call the "new Arabic" style - too much show-off and "bling". But true Arabic style (e.g. Etihad) is really tasteful, restrained and beautiful.
