Scott demonstrating a spin before I got to give it a few tries. Spin training is required for initial flight instructor ratings, and it's a lot of fun.

Wow, stunning photo. Even more stunning is that the engine oil pressure is in the red, and so is the temperature, and the engine is still running!

Isn't that kind of dangerous to the airframe of a cessna 152?

The 152 can handle spins just fine. Spins are permitted in this aircraft if it is operated under the utility category (weight and balance permitting). In all honesty, the spin is actually a very graceful maneuver that, if executed with caution, puts less strain on the airframe than many other manuevers, such as steep turns (or hard landings ;)

The 152 is obviously rated for spins - or the instructor wouldn't have entered a spin in the aircraft!!! Check out that airspeed!!! Great shot - I bet it was hard to hold the camera steady

Spins are great, the trusty fuel gauges are reading as no fuel which is typical for an old cessna...

It's a spin in a C-150. What a great Pic. I would have loved to been there. It look's like a lot of fun. Too put a airplane in a spin and to recover, that's great!!!
