Bravo for the photo. X3 concept is low cost project: Dolphin cellule, NH-90 turbines, EC-175 transmission. Serialization is possible in short laps ... Sorry for Sikorsky !

This is not a four-engine design - the wing-mounted props are driven by the main engines via a transmission mechanism w/clutch, so they can be slowed down and stopped on the ground. Though the idea seems ungainly, the point was to create a fast helicopter using only off the shelf components, as opposed to the X2's ground-up new design.
