Here is quite a "find" in the New Mexico desert - an ex BA 747 now being used by the FAA for non-destructive testing. Established in 1991 as the FAA Aging Aircraft NDI Validation Center (FAA - AANC), the center was renamed in 1995 the Airworthiness Assurance NDI Validation Center. The 747 spent her entire career with BOAC, then BA, before being retired here on 14-Jun-1999.
