The smoke, the position in the runway and the fully extended flaps and slats confirm that the airplane's landing

I love Finnair and I love going to Phuket. Good plane good airport

Plane is landing, smoking tyres and use of runway give it away

A visitor from Canada posted Sun April 18, 2010:
With the tire smoke and its proximity to the button of the runway, definitely landing.

A visitor from New Zealand posted Sun April 18, 2010:
If that's taking off - there must've been a hell of a strong headwind! Definitely landing, but yes it looks like a very steep flare angle doesn't it.

A visitor from Italy posted Sun April 18, 2010:
Nice capture..and captain definitively landing in a unusual attitude

A visitor from France posted Sun April 18, 2010:
Look at those wings! Beautiful...

A visitor from India posted Sun April 18, 2010:
No way in hell it can be taking off that close from the start of the runway! You'd need about 40 engines to do that :-P amazing photo!

A visitor from Finland posted Sun April 18, 2010:
Plane is landing, you can tell it by smoke from tyres and use of the runway

A visitor from - posted Sun April 18, 2010:
This has got to be one of the steepest landing flare I've ever seen. Definitely not takeoff, no A333s can takeoff using just 1000ft of runway! (notice the 1000ft marker)

A visitor from - posted Sun April 18, 2010:
Definetely its landing coz u can see on the wheels theres a dust...

A visitor from - posted Sat April 17, 2010:
Cant be taking off, smoke from wheels on touchdown and that is the 1000ft markers

A visitor from - posted Sat April 17, 2010:
Nice pic! I'm pretty sure is landing...

A visitor from Canada posted Sat April 17, 2010:
It's definitely not taking off!

A visitor from United States posted Sat April 17, 2010:
Maybe it's just the angle of the shot, by that indeed does seem like an unusual flare. Nice photo.
