OH-LGA (cn 48449/455) Shot taken prior to all three engines of the MD-11 reving up on what has been the most memorable flight of my life so far. As you can see, we are at the front of the infamous JFK departure queue and await take off clearance to Helsinki. I sure am glad I had the opportunity to try one of these great tri-holers prior to their retirement from the JFK sector; the MD-11 is truly awesome! [Canon 40D]

Thanks Josh for this brilliant shot! Yes, this spring Finnair will retire MD11s from the JFK route, and will get A330-300s to fly this sector.
