Named ‘Capt Jack Treacy’ after the First World war pilot who in 1922 became the first person to land an aeroplane here at Eagle Farm/Brisbane Airport. (Inscription below name reads ‘The flying picture show man’). This aircraft operated by Central Air crashed on the 4th Sept 2000 with the tragic loss of eight lives. The pilot and passengers had become incapacitated from Hypobaric Hypoxia. The aircraft continued flying for five hours before running out of fuel. Became know as the "Ghost Flight” in the media
