A visitor from Netherlands posted Wed September 7, 2011: Amazing shot! People who commented before: I think the captain just used the ATC button on his yoke, that's why he has his hand on it.
A visitor from United States posted Sat July 9, 2011: Looks as if the captain is a bit too cautious. If I was flying the left seat here (where the 1st officer is hand-flying the aircraft), I wouldn't have my hand on the yoke. I would be ready to quickly intervene if necessary, but I wouldn't have my hand on it. A leader's goal should always be to instill and to build confidence in others (with safety always being the overall theme, of course).

A visitor from Hungary posted Sat July 5, 2008: The FO has the control anyway. He's got the more stable grip on the joke, his FD is master, his AP is engaged, and I think he's about to disengage the AT. In that case the strange thing is, that he does'nt disengage it on the throttle.
