A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed June 16, 2010: What I like about this is that I'm so consumed by just seeing the Mundane Landings at Manchester that are by the book normal landings and in a normal environment that this just looks brilliant and makes you realise what these planes can get up too away from the base, or at least in the terms of the Dash 8 when BA used to own them, I saw one landing on a UK beach! :o)

A visitor from - posted Wed June 16, 2010: Loganair have been flying to and from Barra for years, it's a beach on an island so there is a very very small chance of anything being under the water. Furthermore Barra Airport is open subject to tides obviously! Fantastic photo though, I have to take that flight one day.
