"National Museum of the US Air Force" The LUSAC, which stand for "Lepere United States Army Combat", was an American built fighter which was intended to fly in WWI. However it came too late and after the end of the war the orders were cancelled with only 28 aircraft having been built. The type was used for experimental flights though and it set some altitude records in the 1920s. [Nikon D800 / AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm]
