A visitor from United States posted Wed April 13, 2011: Great photo and just as I remembered it. I flew on several of them between Denver and Colo Spgs, CO. Once when returning to Peterson, AFB at night we got caught in a really bad thunderstorm, the worst I've ever flown in. The Old Convair was tossed up and down so bad we thought the wings were coming off, but she made it through like a champion. The pilots and stewardess were so professional they got a round of applause on landing.

Also the interior of this 340 is pristine, much nicer than some of the 340s I flew in. Seeing the pillows and blankets in the overhead bins is a nice touch. Mark / Hanford, Ca.
