My fave would be the Nieuport 'bebe', or simply a Camel. The British Se.5A was a thorough fighter too.

This photo is amazing! It's from 1916, and it really gives you the feeling of history looking at it. This is what flying is about, being free in the sky! Great backround of what are probably mountains.

Used to build WW 1! Ac when I was a kid..favorite was Nieuport Scout and F-d-7(German)Built a 20' Span homebuilt also,flew 2 times and sold it.(VW Engine,Modified,GREAT POWER PLANT,RELIABLE as hell:)
