A visitor from United States posted Thu April 6, 2006: What makes this photo such a great shot, I was stationed at Landsberg Air Base when it was an American air base from 1953 to 1955. The base looks so much different now than when I was there..One hanger was just a few brick walls and steel rafters back then.....One of the nicest looking bases in Germany.....Small but we had all the comforts of home..
