"National Museum of the US Air Force" The Fokker D.VII was considered by many to be one of the best fighters of WWI maybe even the best fighting on the German side. However it was only introduced in 1918 and hence too late to alter the course of the war despite German efforts to produce as many as possible. After the war the Germans were forced to surrender all remaining D.VIIs. Some ended up in the USA. [Nikon D800 / AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm]
