Today this chopper has been flown down by a German Army CH-53 from the Graustock Mountain where it crashed on November 28, 2008. The helicopter was there for almost 7 months. As you can see, the rest of it is in bad conditions and probably ready for the scrap heap. Last time I had to walk 6 hours up to 2600 meters to get a picture of it, today it was just a 5 mintue walk ;-)

I bet everyone survived. It crashed landed in a snowy mountain, the snow did a lot of the cushioning.

As a member of the german army this is a very sad picture for me.

BTW: Yes, everyone on board survived.
