I saw a lot of them in operation in Algeria between 1960 and 1962. I was a kid at the time and always fascinated to see them flying. About 10 days ago I saw one flying over Malibu's coast line.....

Supposing that they weren't too successful, considering that the back rotor is supporting the engine and gearbox weight only, payload is restricted to the front rotor, and all this with recip engines.
