Single seat, single engine - great a/c! I flew 1000 hours with the F-104 in the Naval Air Wing 2. Looks like this 2-ship came back from a range sortie with the empty practise bomb carriers and the rocket launchers on the left pylon. Great reflection of the winterly sun light .... These were the good old days!

Compared to new planes in a digital age, there's not many photos of old, first gen fighters doing maneuvers on this site. That this photo is in such stunning, high-resolution clarity makes it even better still.
