I like the nose down image with the pattern of the city. One comment - This is a DG-101 (not DG-100) as it doesn't have the two piece canopy.

Push stick in, the houses get bigger.... Pull stick back, the houses get smaller.. Neat!

Very nice photo, are you coming "back" from a looping?

To people talking about -4000fpm:
In german Gliderairplanes, the Instruments are all using METRIC data! So the Airspeed indicator shows 180 Kph and the vario shows 4 meters per second descending!

A brave picture to take, well done !

Just missing the sound of the wind whistling around the frame....... and you're there !

A visitor from Finland posted Sun May 30, 2010:
Excellent shot, would imagine that this takes some planning and extra attempts to get right, as I've found out that taking reasonable pictures with most cameras using your left hand while flying with your right is ridiculously difficult.. doing that the other way around while maneuvering takes some learning too.

To the comments about the vertical speed: the variometer is metric, indicating some 4,4 m/s sink, and is most likely total energy compensated, meaning that the indicated value is not anything near the true vertical speed here.

A visitor from Italy posted Sun May 30, 2010:
Breathtaking...that's all ! :) 5*

A visitor from Germany posted Sun May 30, 2010:
As, i'am sure about this, also yur instructor told you a couple of years ago: "Push" -> big houses, "Pull" -> small houses.
Great shot. The best way to end an 300km flight :)

"Terrain! Pull up, pull up!!!". Fortunately gliders still don't have GPWS and you are high enough :)). This shot is stunning.

A visitor from Spain posted Sun May 30, 2010:
Wow. -4400 fpm of vertical speed and entering the orange sector of the speed indicator. Woop woop pull up !

A visitor from Netherlands posted Sun May 30, 2010:
