"Al-Muharraq". Specially painted in this glorious livery to celebrate Gulf Air's 50th Anniversary which fell on the 24th of March 2000. Knowing that they got it right, no wonder they decided to leave the livery on the plane. Looks just like an Arabian Princess with a veil covering her face & studded with gold all over. Airplane named "Al-Muharraq" after the historical & northernmost island of the Bahrain archipelago, the Bahrain International Airport (BAH/OBBI) is also located on this island.

Five *'s for the photo and six *'s for the remarks and the story behind the name! Keep up the good work, I love photos that do not just look good but also have a story, that sometimes all of us can learn something from!

I totally agree with the gentleman from U.K. Couldn't have said it better; This talented photographer not only makes great photos, he also triples their interest with his remarks! ( why can't everyone do this? )

As others have remarked earlier, Not just a lovely photo but a great write-up 'telling the story' to go along with it.

Love your work Vishal!
