Great photo. Looks more like ice than being cracked up and the engine isn't running. Maybe the fans are moving a bit from wind and the long exposure does the rest ;-)

A visitor from Switzerland posted Wed September 16, 2009:
It's just a long exposure shot... am i right? it could not be running if the cargo is still standing in front of the engine... still, it's like an optical illusion :)

We cannot start the engine, its covered in throw-up!!!

That guy could get his head chopped off if he's unlucky enough to be sticking his head into the engine during startup. Fantastic (and somewhat funny, but dangerous-looking)photo.

A visitor from United Arab Emirates posted Sat October 7, 2006:
Engine cowling looks pretty cracked up. And the guy isn't sucidal enough to stick his head up a 1000RPM fan.

A visitor from United States posted Mon July 31, 2006:
All he is probably doing is checking out the turbine. If you look closely at the engine itself and expecially the windows, you can see that the plane isn't in bad condition, it's just covered in ice.

A visitor from Spain posted Thu June 29, 2006:
Is the maintenance guy. Probably doing the pre-flight or an inspection. This must to be checked everyday. Anyway, the plane doesn´t look in a very good condition

A visitor from Denmark posted Sun June 25, 2006:
He is just interested what is inside of the turbine ;)

A visitor from Greece posted Wed March 8, 2006:
God, is the engine running?!!?

A visitor from Germany posted Tue March 7, 2006:
Funny Picture. I would like to know what he is looking for.

A visitor from Lebanon posted Thu January 26, 2006:
Looks like he dropped something in the engine
