Wow, I am actually seeing this shot now before the other shot you mention, but this is already looking pretty spectacular to me! The bank is not abnormal (anymore) but -to me- the sight is! A very cool shot and airport. Note that the instrument setup on this 737NG is rare, different from the great majority of NG's: as I personally have only seen before on a few Continental(/United?) 738's and 9's, the NAV display and Primary Flying Display are set up to display the 'analogue' meters of the (80's) classic 737's (733, 734, 735). Afaic this is done to enable classic-typerated aircrew to fly NG's (only these ones that is), too. Would be interesting to know if the setup can be changed by the airline (supposing Boeing can), and if so, how easy/fast. Perhaps this has something to do with the two captains... perhaps the '2nd' captain (or both?!) might be on this plane because he is not yet qualified on a 'true' NG yet, and maybe does not want/need to qualify, or at least let younger aircrew or FO's before him...

That's amazing!!!! i always like cockpit pictures.i really salute the captons who make final approach to run way...this shows the pilots responsibility for flying.excellent work by the photographer too!!!

I never saw this photo until I viewed your previous one. To go from the intense hard right turn to such a relaxing mood, it is simply great photography! The captain on the right hasn't even changed his composure.... true professionals at work, great job. -Jason

Nice to see the throttle levers on idle...i can truly imagine, how the cpt took more speed to turn safely and how he decreased the speed now on final...great details!

This photograph is great!
The other photo was better nevertheless.
Those pilots don't look worried at all after that 90 degree turn, how I want to become a pilot

If someone pays enough attention you can notice since the last photo the runway!
As far as I know Madeira's Airport approach is one of the most dangerous and most difficult.
Just look how far is the airport from the seashore!
