Just after departure from the heliport in Bavaro, we're climbing to 300ft with an airspeed of 105kn for a pleasure flight up and down the coast. Below is the Bahia Principe hotel where I was staying and the lovely colours of the Atlantic Ocean where I was scuba diving the previous week (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DG HSM, Speedilte 430EX)

It's so hard to fathom when what you are looking at here is the Dominican Republic. It is on the eastern side of the greater island of Hispaniola. The western side of this island is Haiti. Google it and you will be absolutely astounded!
